The Austria – Côte d’Ivoire Friendship Society (ACFS) was established to promote the bilateral relations between Austria and Côte d’Ivoire. The focus is on economy, tourism and culture.
The ACFS has privileged access to Côte d’Ivoire through its close contacts to the country’s economic, political and cultural stakeholders. This allows the ACFS to provide targeted support to its members – businesses and individuals – In their activities in Côte d’Ivoire and to promote their interests effectively.
The services of the ACFS include, among others:
- Support in establishing contacts and networking
- Organisation of events (receptions, lectures and workshops)
- Support for senior representatives of Côte d’Ivoire visiting Austria
- Information hub and representation of interests
- Support for Ivorian citizens in Austria
The ACFS acts in close coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire in Austria. The promotion of the bilateral relations is supported by the Ambassador of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, S.E. Roger A. Kacou, also Honorary President of the ACFS.
For Côte d’Ivoire, the ACFS is a worldwide unique structure, as the country has no other comparable instrument for maintaining and promoting bilateral relations anywhere else in the world.
The ACFS provides Austria and Côte d’Ivoire with a networking platform on an economic, touristic and cultural level and is open to all who feel connected to Côte d’Ivoire.
The ACFS is a non-profit organisation established as an association under the laws of Austria and a member of the Federation of Austrian-Foreign Societies (www.dachverband-pan.org).
